The self-weight of the footing itself is not considered, but the 10% of the load exerted by the above wall/column on the footing is considered as the weight of the footing.

So, the given answer is correct.

Self weight is consider while calculating area of footing. But during the calculation of BCS self wt of footing is not consider.
