W is directly proportional to l^4.
Length of long span = l1.
Length of short span = l2.
The load carried = w per unit area.
According to the Indian standard ratio of the loads split into w1 and we acting on strips parallel to l2 and l1 is
W1/W2=(l2/l1)^4.
