Continuous =26
Spanning in one directn
Cantilever= 12
ssb = 30
Continuous = 35

Given answer is correct as per the IS 456-1978. Spaning in 1 direction in simply support not greater than 30. And spaning in two direction it is 35.

Spanning in two directions.
Simply supported beam 35 for mild steel and 28 for Fe415.
Continuous beam 40 for mild steel and 32 for Fe415.
