Canal outlet or modules: Structure built at the head of the watercourse so as to connect it with a minor or distributary channel.

Types.

1) Non-modular outlet: outlet through which discharge depends upon difference of head between distributary & watercourse.
Eg: open sluice.

2) Semi-module or flexible module: outlet through which discharge independent of water level of watercourse but only depend on the water level of distributary.
Eg: pipe outlet, venturi flume.

3) Rigid module or modular outlet: Outlet through which discharge is constant & fixed within the limit.
Eg: Gibb's module.

It's rigid modular outlet.

Description: These modules allow constant discharge within reasonable working limits of head.

Irrespective of water levels in the distribution and the watercourse of the main canal.
