According to Kennedy a regime channel is one which neither silts nor scours is known as critical velocity of flow. The relation is given by Kennedy for critical velocity (Vo) in m/s.
Vo = 0.55*m*(D^0.64).
m = critical velocity ratio and,
D = Depth of water over the bed portion of a channel in metres.
Vo = 0.55*m*(D^0.64).
m = critical velocity ratio and,
D = Depth of water over the bed portion of a channel in metres.
