@Those who agrees with "none of these". please read the question carefully, it is asked about fails to extract sufficient water.
Permanent Wilting Point - the sufficient amount of moisture cannot be extracted by the plant roots, at this point wilting of the plant occurs.
Temporary Wilting Point - Plant recovers from temporary wilting after some time.
That means in TWP there may be the chance to recover but there is no chance to recover in PWP.
Answer - Permanent Wilting Point.

So.
The water at which soil fail to extract sufficient water for their requirement is below permanent welting point that is ultimate welting point.
So, the Ultimate welting point is the correct answer whis is not given in options.

Yes, the given answer is correct ie, option D, because below optimum moisture content plants fail to extract sufficient water for their requirements. Not permanent welting point because at pwp plants extract water from soil but is not sufficient for their requirements.

Here, it is asking not sufficient water so it will be optimum moisture content not pwp.
At the permanent wilting point there will be no extraction of water by the plant.

Answer is right: None of these.
Because permeant wilting point= the water content at which plants can no longer extract sufficient water from the soil for it's growth.

I think the given answer is correct because PWP is the lowest point till which a plant can extract water from the soil.
So, at PWP plant can extract water though less.
So, at PWP plant can extract water though less.

Answer is correct none of these. The answer of this question is (optimum moisture content) at this stage plants fail to extract sufficient water for thier requirement.
