The center of pressure is located at the centroid of the rectangular shaped pressure field 2/3 from the top of the water line.
b = 4 m, d = 3 m.
Center of pressure = 2/3 d = (2/3)*3 = 2.0 m.
b = 4 m, d = 3 m.
Center of pressure = 2/3 d = (2/3)*3 = 2.0 m.

2/3 height if water is full, if not full then it's 5 of water.

Centre of pressure = I/ax+x.
I= bd3/12.
a=bd.
x=d/2.
I= bd3/12.
a=bd.
x=d/2.

No @Abhay.
The centroid formula is for rectangle d/2.
The centroid formula is for rectangle d/2.

@All.
It's very simple
Gate is vertical.
Means H = 4m.
D/2 = 4/2 = 2.

Center of pressure = 2h/3 = 2 (3)/3 = 2m.

Here we can use (Ig/Ax)+x.

@Aadarsh.
4m isn't height its width of gate H = 3m.

Center of pressure is always below the centre of gravity and CG is located at point H/2 = 1.5m so simply we can make an idea that it will be at 2m.
