A piezometer is either a device used to measure liquid pressure in a system by measuring the height to which a column of the liquid rises against gravity or a device which measures the pressure of groundwater at a specific point. A piezometer is designed to measure static pressures and thus differs from a pitot tube by not being pointed into the fluid flow.

An instrument for measuring the pressure of a liquid or gas, or something related to pressure (such as the compressibility of liquid). Piezometers are often placed in boreholes to monitor the pressure or depth of groundwater.

Pizometer is suitable for measuring of gauge pressure while micro-manometer is suitable for measuring very small pressure accurately.

Piezometers are used to measure moderate pressure, it's not very low pressure.
