Here ''e'' = Super elevetion, ''V'' =Speed , ''R''=Radius.

@Shashikant.

Case-01. Equilibrium superelevation.
If fall centrifugal force is contracted by
Super elevation alone that is, f=0,
Hence, e+f =v^2/127R,
e = v^2/127R.

Case:2 Design superelevation:
V = 75% of design speed, f=0.
e+f =(0.75V)^2/127R
e = V^2/225.

So it is a max rate of superelevation for hill road.

When we are going to use V^2/127R formula, What is the difference between these two formula's?
