For super-critical flow, Froude number>1

Hence, on upstream the wave will be washed away and we will not be able to see them but they can be seen on the downstream side hence the floor is super critical.

It is super critical because the waves not come to upstream. It flow in one direction. In subcritical some waves travel u/s and some travel d/s.
