For pure shear:

Stress in x-direction is 0.
Stress in y-direction is 0.

Maximum principal stress:

(σ x + σ y)/2 + (1/2)* {√( σ x - σ y)^2 + 4(shear stress)^2 }

So, Ans = 80N/mm^2.

For pure shear 6x & 6y are 0 hence t max = txy.
