Particle size distribution curves are useful for the classification of fine and coarse soil but extremely useful for only coarse grain soil. So the answer will be coarse grain soil. So, Answer B is correct.

Particle grain size distribution curve divided into sieve analysis (coarse-grained soil) & sediment analysis (fine-grained soil). So, option C is correct.

Answer B is correct because fine-grained soil is cohesive soil so this is classified on the basis of the liquid limit of soil.
