First term:- Nominal mix.
Second term:- Design mix.

Then M 15 equals to 1+2+4=7 but 7 is not equal to 15 then how?

M10 mix was only used for foundation purpose. Because that having less compressive strength.

The general expression is 1:n:2n by volume where n is the number of sample test conducted.

Then for M20, 1+2+4=7 its not 20 then how its possible.
