If it's RC structure that maximum size of the coarse aggregate is 1/5th min dimensions of RC member so =1/5*10=2cm (20mm).

Otherwise, if it's pc structure the maximum size of the coarse aggregate is 1/4th of the min dimensions of PC member so=1/4*10=2.5cm(25mm).

Now for this question they mentioned cube that means it's pc structure so the answer will be the 25mm is correct.

@Avi.

Yes, it is right it's 19mm for 10cm cube and for 15cm cube it's 38mm.

We know, for RCC, max. Aggregate size = 1/5th of the least lateral dimension of mould.
Similarly for PCC, max size of aggregate is 1/4th of least dimension of mould.
Here ,if it is RCC, Max size of aggregate =(1/5)*100 mm = 20mm.
If PCC, Max aggregate size = (1/4)*100 = 25 mm.

For massive structure =40mm.
For RCC =20mm.
For floors =10mm.

How this is possible?

You can use max of 20mm not 20 cm.
