Rapid hardening cement is similar to ordinary portland cement but with higher tricalcium silicate (C3S) content and finer grinding. It gains strength more quickly than OPC, though the final strength is only slightly higher.

Rapid hardening cement gains strength quickly so, it required more amount of C3A.
While C3A is required for quick setting cement.

Rapid Hardening cement has a maximum percentage of C3S.
Rapid Hardening Cement is also called high early strength cement.
