Igneous rock is formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava. Igneous rock may form with or without crystallization, either below the surface as intrusive (plutonic) rocks or on the surface as extrusive (volcanic) rocks.

Rocks form at moderate depth - hypabyssal eg. Dolerite.

At top of earth surface - volcanic eg. Basalt.

It is wrong answer igneous rock is the best answer because igneous rock is made cooling of magma in earth surface.

Plutonic rocks is a best answer. Its a type of igneous rocks. Below the surface of earth at considerable depth.

The rocks made from the cooling and solidifying of molten rock (magma) are called igneous rocks and the two categories of igneous rocks - volcanic and plutonic rocks. Volcanic rocks found on earth surface whereas plutonic rocks found at considerable depth from earth's surface.

Sir, Igneous rocks and Volcanic rocks are same. Then why the answer is Plutonic rock.
