Cast iron can't be used in columns and struts so the answer should be option B.

Ya, this is right cast. Iron is mainly used in pipes. So, the answer is B.

Answer is B only, cast iron is brittle in nature so can't be used in column and struts.

Cast Iron is good in compression but weak in tensile, (due to high % of carbon).

In columns usually tensile stresses are ignored, so cast iron is right answer.

On other hand mild steel is ductile which makes it good in absorbing tensile stresses are used in beams, C is right.

Wrought iron is used for small sized water pipes.

And cast iron is used for columns and struts because the column is designed for comp. Stresses and cast iron is good in compression.

Wrong because cast iron is brittle as compare to steel, may be the right answer is pipe.
