Linseed oil is the most commonly used drying oil in oil paints. It absorbs oxygen from the air and forms a hard, transparent film upon drying.
Olive oil → non-drying oil (does not form a hard film).
Kerosene oil → not an oil, used as a solvent/fuel.
Acetate of lead → a chemical compound, not an oil.

Drying oil is a kind of vegetable oil which drys in normal temperature. Linseed oil, Poppy oil, Walnut oil, Sunflower oil and Safflower oil are known as typical drying oil. Acetate of lead is a drying agent.
