White ant affects the lignin (tissue) part of the timber section due to which it assumes white color and hence, also called white rot.
Among all the given wood, teak is hardwood i.e. it has the strongest tissues and hence, offers maximum resistance against white ants or termites.

Note: Teak instead of resisting termites it actually kills the white ants.

Important Points:

Most timber is obtained from teak because it has the following properties:

1. Wood obtained from it is hard and strong and not resinous.
2. All woods contain oil (sapwood). Teak can retain these oils even after being felled and processed. Because of this, teak has greater weather-resistant properties.
3. Resistance against white ants.
4. It is durable and fire-resistant.
5. It does not allow the corrosion of iron fastenings.
6. Seasoning of teak wood is very easy and it is easily workable.

All mentioned Options Come under Hardwood. But They all have different weights. More weight allow them for more Fire Resistant.

Chir= 560 Kg/m^3.
Teak=760 kg/m^3.
Sal= 800 kg/m^3.
Shishum=880 kg/m^3.

So, Shisham will be the Correct answer.

Teak Is the correct answer because it can retain these oils even after being felled and processed.

Because of this, teak has greater weather-resistant properties.

And its Resistance against white ants.

Overall sal is a better tree, and it's resistant to termites, fungi etc. Although teak is also resistant to white ants, sal overall has better resistance. That's why the answer is Sal here.

Sal wood is 25% to 30% heavier than teak wood and 45% to 50% harder and more durable than teak. It is resistant to white ants, termites and fungi. It is durable and water resistant.

Answer is wrong. Teak is the right answer. Because its smell of this tree is not favorable to white ants or termites. Another example for such a tree is sal.

Teak is the most appropriate among all other woods against termites because it is not only termite resistance but also kills it.

Teakwood is resistant against weather damage, termites, beetles, fungus, and wood rot.

So, I think option D is correct.

Sal is not attacked by a white ant.
Teak not easily attacked by a white ant.
So the answer is SAL.

The correct answer is Teak. - Teak contains natural oils that make it resistant to decay and insect infection.
