The question is itself wrong, it should be inside and then the answer should be V-grooved pointing. Weather pointing also never comes out.

Whether pointing never comes out to be projected rather the top part it flushed inside up to 12mm. So, whether pointing is no way related to pointing with outside projection. So option B is NOT CORRECT.

The approximate choice would be 'option C'.
