Terrazo flooring: The flooring made with a special aggregate of marble chips mixed with white and coloured cement concrete, is called terrazo flooring. It is decorative and has good wearing properties. It is widely used in residential buildings hospitals, offices, schools and other public buildings.

B is correct as terrazzo is used, not PCC.

In standard terrazzo floor construction, the base course is followed by a screed layer (underbed) which is typically 34 mm thick (not 32 mm) and composed of cement mortar (usually 1:3 ratio).

Furthermore, this surface is intentionally left rough or marked with zigzag lines to ensure a proper bond with the subsequent 6 mm to 12 mm thick terrazzo topping.

Making the surface smooth by trowelling would prevent the final marble chip layer from adhering correctly.
