Recommended Values of Slump for Various Purposes:

Types of concrete Slump:

Concrete for road construction 20 to 40 mm.

Concrete for tops of curbs, parapets, piers, slabs and wall 40 to 50 mm.

Concrete for canal lining 70 to 80 mm.

Normal RCC work 80 to 150 mm.

Mass concrete 20 to 50 mm.

Acc to IS 456, Mass concrete, Lightly reinforced walls, slabs, beams, columns, canal lining, strip footing etc = 25 - 75.

Heavily reinforced sections slabs, beams, columns etc= 50- 100.

Can anybody tell which is the correct answer?

I referred entirely different in 2 book.

Option(1).slump for beams and slabs = 30-125.
For column = 75-125.
Option(2)
For beam and slab = 40-50.
Also saying that for normal Rcc work = 80 - 150.

Please, anyone help me in this case.
