It is because timber piles have a diameter of approx 30cm to 45 cm and mostly used for soil compaction. The min spacing of piles used for this purpose is 3 dia.

Why are timber piles used?
If it is used, why do we provide timber with 30-45 cm dia and with 90 cm spacing, though it is provided for greater depth?
Where are these timber piles used?
