The motion of a particle is described by the relation x = t2- 10t + 30, where x is in metres and t in seconds. The total distance travelled by the particle from t = 0 to t = 10 seconds would be
zero
30 m
50 m
60 m

V= t^2 - 10t + 30.
dv/dx = 2t - 10.

If t=0,
So 2 x 0 - 10 = -10.

If t = 10,
So 2 x 10 - 10 = 20 - 10 = 10.

Total distance 10-10 = 0 Answer.

Substitute time t = 0, in the equation of x, x = 30 m.

Time t = 10, in the equation of x, x = 30 m.

Both are same, means the body is in the rest condition.

So, the distance is zero.

It's not in rest. But it returns back to the starting point.

The total distance is 50 and displacement is zero.
