What if it is 60 degrees? Anyone explain, please.

If only one object/body exist then use,
e=v/u.
0.5=v/5,
v=0.5*5=2.5 m/s.
e=v/u.
0.5=v/5,
v=0.5*5=2.5 m/s.

Velocity of ball=5 m/ sec x coefficient of restitution = 0.5,
Velocity after impact is = 5 X 0.5,
= 2.5.
Velocity after impact is = 5 X 0.5,
= 2.5.

Velocity is reduced by Half of initial.

Here, the Coefficient of restitution = (v2-v1)/(u1-u2).
