1cm = .1sqkm.
So 2*2 = 4cm = .4sqkm,
Now 90% of .4=.36,

Thanks @Bishnu Khatri.

l = 20 cm.
w = 20cm.
S= (1/10000),
Pl = 0.6.
Pw = 0.3.
Ground area = (1-0.6)*(1-0.3)*(0.2 *0.2)*(10^2) sqkm.
= 1.12 sqkm.

Area = L*W.
= l/s*. 40*w/s *. 70.
= 1.2square km.

90% of 4 sq.km = 3.6 sq.km, then how does it come to 0.36 sq.km?

Please clarify.

RF scale 1:10000 = Engineering Scale = (1 cm = 0.1 km).

Area of vertical photograph = 20 cm x 20 cm = (2 km x 2 km) = 4 sq.Km.

Total overlap = 60+30 = 90%.

Total overlap area = 90% of 4 sq.Km = 0.36 sq.Km.

Net area = 1 sq.Km - 0.36 sq.Km = 0.64 sq.Km.
