Nylon 6 is produced by ring-opening chain growth polymerization of caprolactam in the presence of water vapour and an acid catalyst at the melt. After removal of water and acid, the nylon 6 is melt spun at 250 - 260 °C into fibres.

Nylon 6 from caprolactum is open ring polymerization.

In the question condensation polymerization is given, how? Explain.

The chemical skeleton of the nylon 6 will be deformed if the temperature exceeds more than 280°C.

In inert nitrogen atmosphere.

I is known that reactor temperature is 533K which is 260 C.
Hence option C is the correct one.
