Aromatics are desirable in diesel and kerosene but undesirable in gasoline as it is a mixture of paraffin, naphthene and olefins. Aromatics are a base component of gasoline which are derived from crude oil.

Aromatics is the right answer. Aromatics provide a high octane number in petrol and kerosene removal of aromatics provide a high smoking point.

Aromatics has high octane no. And also has the smoking tendency so it is desirable in petrol and undesirable in kerosene.
