The gas film control process is the right answer because gas side film resistance is more compared to the liquid side.

Controlling Resistances are compared based on the magnitude. @yadu is right.

Answer is B.
Overall total resistance based on gas phase is (6/4.5).
Overall total resistance based on liquid phase is (2/4.5).
Overall total resistance based on gas phase is (6/4.5).
Overall total resistance based on liquid phase is (2/4.5).

Both the individual resistances on gas side and the liquid side i.e., 1/KG and M/KL are same. So both gas side and liquid side phase are controlling. Not only gas side.
So, Option D should be correct.
