The answer should be [ (f-1) /f].q signifies the fraction of liquid in the feed.
Therefore, q = (1-f).
Now, slope of feed line is = q/(q-1) = (1-f)/(1-f-1) = (1-f)/(-f) = (f-1)/f.
Therefore, q = (1-f).
Now, slope of feed line is = q/(q-1) = (1-f)/(1-f-1) = (1-f)/(-f) = (f-1)/f.
