Superficial liquid velocity is the hypothetical velocity of the liquid if we consider that there only the liquid phase is present in the packed bed column.

According to Eargen equation, the pressure drop in case of Laminar flow is 150*(1-e)2 *u *v /d2*e3, it shows the pressure drop is a proposal to v/d2.

It's Kozeny Karman equation not Ergun.
Ergun is the sum of laminar and turbulent means sum of Burke Plummer and Kozeny.
