Frictional resistance also depends on the velocity and temperature of flow. It is proportional to the surface area of contact for both laminar and turbulent flows. It is independent of the pressure for both laminar and turbulent flows.

Because of fraction is independent of area of contact for laminar flow and turbulent flow less than 2100 greater than 4000 friction factor only depends on transition flow or mixed flow.
