A is the correct answer as pressure decreases with increase in Area.

Moreover, boundary layer separation occurs when fluid observes sudden area increase.

I am not sure but the boundary layer separation concept is used in conical expander in which cross sectional area increases not decreases.

I think answer is A. Because when pressure gets low, boundary layer gets separated.

Maybe due to reverse in pressure gradient.

@All.

I am sure that B is correct.

Adverse pressure gradient is correct I think.

Due to adverse pressure gradient kinetic energy decrease potential energy increases thus boundary layer forms and eddies form which decelerate the flow also turbulence increases.

When area reduced pressure increases.
