If 100 moles of A = 300 moles of B.
Then 50 moles of A will produce 150 moles of B then in product A will be 50/200 = 1/4.
Then 50 moles of A will produce 150 moles of B then in product A will be 50/200 = 1/4.

Let assume the 100 mole of A, at the end of reaction 50% conversion means 50 moles of A produced 150 moles of B and 50 moles of A is untreated.
The total mole of mixture at exit stream is 50(A)+150(B) = 200mole.
mole fraction of A = [mole of A]/[total mole].
= 50/200.
= 0.25.
= 1/4.

50/150 = 1/3 Not 50/200.

Let inlet be 100 moles of A at outlet 50 mole of A 150 moles of B mole. Then the fraction will be 50/200 = 1/4.
