For 1st order reaction, equal size CSTRs are best. For reaction with an order greater than one the smaller size, CSTRs should be followed by the larger one and for reaction with order less than one the larger size, CSTR should be followed by a smaller one.

For all order reaction is greater than one smaller, which should be followed by larger one. So option b is correct.

I think option B is the answer because any positive order reaction gives maximum conversion when reactants concentration is kept maximum.
Larger volume CSTR will immediately make reactant's concentration. Lower which is not desirable for max conversion. Please comment.
