Assuming a zero-order irreversible reaction,
r = -dc/dt = kc^0 = k, -dc = kdt, -c = kt + p, at t = 0, p = -c0.
Hence, -c = kt - c0, c0 - c = kt, at t = t1/2, c = 1/2c0.
Hence, c0 - 1/2c0 = kt1/2, 1/2c0 = kt1/2 and c0 = 2kt1/2,
Hence a plot of c0 or cA0 against t1/2 gives a straight line with slope = 2k.
