On increasing pressure, according to Le-Chatelier's principle equilibrium will shift in a direction where volume is lesser. So, the equilibrium shifts in the forward direction.

Pressure does not effect melting point much. For most substances, increasing the pressure when a system is in equilibrium between liquid and solid phases will increase the phase transition temperature. Water is one of a few special substances for which the pressure lowers the temperature of transition.

At 0 degree. C, the volume of the ice is more than that of water.

Shouldn't more ice be formed?

When pressure rises, the ice will be converted to water.
