A catalyst increases the rate of reaction by decreasing the activation energy of reacting molecules. If the activation energy is lower then the rate of reaction will automatically increase.

A catalyst is defined as a substance, usually used in small amounts relative to the reactants, that modifies and increases the rate of a reaction without being consumed in the process.

A catalyst will provide an alternate route with a lower activation energy for the reaction to proceed. It does not lower the already-existing activation energy of the reaction.

Catalyst doesn't only lower the activation energy but it can also increase the activation energy in case of unfavorable reaction or to increase the reaction time?

A catalyst increases the rate of a chemical reaction and also decreases the activation energy of the reactant to make in activated state for reaction.

I think catalyst reduce the require activation energy of reactant to made in activated state for reaction. Give fast reaction at low energy.

I think a catalyst gives an alternate reaction mechanism with lower activation energy.

It cannot lower the activation energy.

A Catalyst provides energy to reactants for procedure and required energy for the reaction reduces.

Actually I think D is also correct as the catalyst can be recovered after the reaction unchanged.

Differentiate between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalyst?
