During Throttling under adiabatic conditions, the pressure energy decreases because some of the pressure energy gets lost as frictional losses thereby increase in intermolecular energy.
Hence always there will be a loss in pressure energy thereby reducing the pressure.

Pressure always decreases for the positive or negative of the joule Thompson effect.
For real gas:
Dt/dp>0 cooling, temperature decrease Pressure decreases
Dt /dp<0 heating, temperature increases pressure decreases.
Dt/dp = 0 -ideal gas.
For ideal gas pressure decreases but temperature has no effect or change.
