It should be option A.

Condenser and evaporated both are working on term latent heat, which means no change in a terminal condition, hence options C is correct. And if terminal condition is getting change then it means equipment is working as a heater or cooler, not evaporator and condenser.

Terminal condition means Isothermal condition on which LMTD for both are same.

How can you say C is the right answer?

What is a terminal condition? How its effects LMTD?

MOHD JUNED KHAN said:   8 years ago
If Terminal condition is same then the parallel and counter LMTD will be same.

If terminal conditions are same then LMTD of the counter to parallel for condenser and evaporator will be same.

As per my view, LMTD for the counter flow will be more than parallel flow. If answer C is correct then please give us a description.

How is it possible?

How the answer C is right?

LMTD for the counter flow will be more than parallel.
