Ice minus bacteria is a mutant strain of psedomonas syringe or ice plus strain. It was first sprayed in 1986. It was also produced commercially by the name frostban, which was later banned by environment regulatory authorities. This mutant strain provides less favourable environment for frost formation when sprayed over the plant.
