Polar solvents only discovered polar and ionic compounds, Al hydrocarbons (eg methane, Vaseline) are non-polar and only dissolved on polar and no ionic compounds.

Yeah true as Na-Cl posses both positive and negative charge which can easily get ionized in water so this makes it very soluble in water compared to the rest.

Water is a polar compound that dissolve only polar and ionic substances. All hydrocarbon or organic compounds are no polar and are insoluble inwater.

Because, sodium chloride is a polar(ionic) compound. So it is easily dissolves in water.
