The Buffer solution is an aqueous solution of weak acid and its conjugate base and its conjugate acid. These are mainly used to keep pH Constant.
Good example is blood. Arterial blood pH between 7.38 and 7.42. Buffering agent binds hydrogen ion and detect any change in pH Exist. Extracellular buffer are bicarbonate and ammonia and intracellular buffer are protein and phosphate.
Bicarbonate buffering show that carbon dioxide can be shifted through carbonic acid to hydrogen ion and bicarbonate.
