The body can synthesize some vitamins but not in adequate quantities, therefor must be supplied by diet.

No this is not correct, the body can synthesize vitamin D.

The body can synthesize vitamins but not in adequate amount required by the body hence should be supplied in diet. Example body synthesize vitamin D in the skin by the use of sun light. But it is not adequate for body need. Hence should besupplied fromm diet. Correct answer is C.
