Small fragments move through the gaps between the pores and the large fragments should move in the pores so, small fragments move fast than the big one.

Larger fragments bear more resistance while moving through gel.

Smaller fragments will have an easier time passing through gel than larger fragments which will allow it to move through more smoothly than the larger fragments.
