Yes, this is inhibited by the quinole antibiotics such as Nalidixic acid etc.

DNA gyrase in E.coli relaxes the tension in the strand that builds ahead of the replication fork during replication. If this fails to occur, replication will cease and the cell will die. This is employed by anti biotics to inhibit replication of bacteria such as E.Coli.
