A liquid is flowing at 11,400 l.h-1 along a pipeline having a diameter of 4 cm. If the liquid has a density of 1 g.ml-1 and viscosity of 0.001kg.m-1.s-1, then the liquid would be in the
laminar phase
transient phase
turbulent phase

Re=Dvρ/μ and Q=Av.

D = 4x1^-2 m.
v = Q/A = 11 400 L/hr * (1 m^3/1000L) * (1hr/3600s).
ρ = 1 g/mL (density of water) = 1000 kg/m^3.
μ = 0.001kg.m-1.s-1.

By substitution,
Re = 100798
Re> 5000 therefore, it is turbulent flow.
