Each of the questions given below consists of a statement and / or a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statement(s) is / are sufficient to answer the given question. Read the both statements and
- Give answer (A) if the data in Statement I alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in Statement II alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
- Give answer (B) if the data in Statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in Statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.
- Give answer (C) if the data either in Statement I or in Statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question.
- Give answer (D) if the data even in both Statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.

II gives, lbh = 64.
From I and II, the values of l, b, h may be (1 ,1 , 64), (2 ,2 ,16), (4, 4, 4).
Thus, the block may be a cube or cuboid.

It is given to find whether the given is rectangle or cubical block, we know cube has volume but rectangular doesn't so from the second option only, we get to know that it cannot be rectangle (as it has no volume) but cube does. So according to me II alone sufficient to answer.

From first option it is clear that l, b, h are equal. So definitely it should be a cube according to me.
The values of l, b, h may be (1, 1, 64), (2, 2, 16), (4, 4, 4).
But l=b=h....from I option. So only (4, 4, 4) is answer.
So I is alone to answer.

Explanation for (I) :.
Given that two sides of a block are square, it is not mentioned that they are adjacent always. They can also be opposite sides. So two opposite square sides doesn't make a block cube!

It is not two sides, it is two faces which are cube, hence all three dimensions have to be same. Hence 1 is sufficient to say that the geometry is cube.

Also the sides of the cube should not be assumed to be integral. If it is so then it should be explicitly mentioned in question.

If l = 4 and b = 4 which intern makes the h = 4 as 4*4*4 = 64.
