TD = AMT * R * T/100+(R * T)
TD = 189, R=16,T=3/4
189 = Amt * 3/4 * 16/100+(16 * 3/4).
Amt = 1764.
TD = 189, R=16,T=3/4
189 = Amt * 3/4 * 16/100+(16 * 3/4).
Amt = 1764.

TD(100+RT)=ART.
189(100+9/12*16)=A 9/12*16.
189*112/12 = 1764.
189(100+9/12*16)=A 9/12*16.
189*112/12 = 1764.

@Subrat.
Amount = (Present Worth(PW)) + (True Discount (TD)).
Please check the "Important Formulas" which is available above left side.

" at 16% per annum is Rs. 189"- So amount Rs. 189 is for 12 months as it is given per annum, isn't it?
Then how come "S. I. On Rs. X at 16% for 9 months = Rs. 189"- is this Rs. 189 for 9 months?
