1/4-7/48 cannot be equal to 5/48. Can anyone explain this to me?

1/4= 1/12+1/16+1/c
1/4-7/48=1/c
c=9*3/5
1/c= c's one day work
1/4-7/48=1/c
c=9*3/5
1/c= c's one day work

LCM of 4 & 48 is 48.
So 1/4-7/48 = (12*1-7*1)/48.
= 5/48.
So 1/4-7/48 = (12*1-7*1)/48.
= 5/48.

Why C-A+B?
Therefore C's 1 day's work = (1/4)-(1/16+1/20).
Therefore C's 1 day's work = (1/4)-(1/16+1/20).
